Dadamac in the UK - based in London

Dadamac in the UK is based in South London, and is led by Pamela McLean and Nicola Fishman. The office has several functions - some local, some geograhically scattered. It is:
- The home of our UK projects and workshops - the ones that are run in the UK for the UK.
- The first contact point for all Dadamac initiatives, in UK, Nigeria and elsewhere, including voluntary work through Dadamac Foundation.
- The administrative centre for all our projects - wherever their location.
Work experience
We offer some work experience opportunities where you can develop your skills, grow your network, and create a digital footprint of your achievements.
Dadamac in Africa

Dadamac in Nigeria is based at Kafanchan, in North Central Nigeria, and is led by John Dada, who also directs Fantsuam Foundation, “Eliminating poverty and disadvantage through integrated development programs”.
Dadamac UK is the first contact point for arranging to connect with Dadamac in Nigeria.
We offer consultancy and are also able to implement projects locally under John’s direction. Dadamac has a long track record of UK-Nigeria collaboration, including work done in a voluntary capacity. This means there is extensive local good will and knowledge feeding into the services we offer. In addition to running projects locally (in north central Nigeria) we can help to replicate projects elsewhere through our wide networks.
By working with Dadamac in Nigeria you will quickly get to the heart of local communities, and the realities of life way beyond the gated compounds of city based organisations and elites. You can connect with us short-term or long-term: anything from a half hour phone call picking our brains, to long-term research or development projects and field work.
See about us for details of our projects in Nigeria.
Dadamac’s UK - Nigeria communication is enabled by Zittnet, Appropriate power and ICTs for the developing world.
Dadamac elsewhere

Dadamac Elsewhere draws on the wider (globally scattered) Dadamac network of people connected with each other through an effective combination of high trust relationships and making the most of the Internet to communicate and collaborate.
Dadamac Elsewhere started with people in London and Nigeria who needed to communicate with each other, but were usually far apart. Over the years our network has grown to include people elsewhere in Africa, and also on other continents - people whose interests overlap the practical and theoretical work being done by the leaders of Dadamac.
Dadmac Elsewhere has developed through the energy and initiative of people who need to communicate with each other. Our interests reflect the genuine concerns of real people. Our unique strengths and qualities come from being genuinely local in many locations - and at the same time looking at things from a more global perspective. Our combination of local expertise and a wider perspective is possible because we are interconnected, on an effective person-to-person level, across many countries and cultures.
Some people in the network have never met in person, others know each other well face-to-face. Our connection is based on shared interests and mutual support not formal structures. Dadamac Elsewhere’s history is one of information freely exchanged, practical projects, analytical thought, lessons learned and knowledge created. This has resulted in a great resource of networking and knowledge which is available to anyone who works with us.
